Frequently Asked Questions - if you don't find your answer here, please call us at 513-896-5683 between 9 and 1 weekdays.

When are your services on Sundays?

We have two services on Sunday mornings.

The 9:00 am service is an informal praise service that meets downstairs in our Fellowship Hall.  We sit around tables for the service and coffee, juice and pastries are available and welcomed in the service.  The music is provided by our Praise Band and is more contemporary in style with guitars, keyboard, drums and vocalists.  The song lyrics, scriptures and other images are projected on a screen. Childcare(infant and toddler) is provided with children moving to the nursery after the children's message in the service.

The 10:45 service is a more traditional style and is held in our beautiful sanctuary with stained glass windows and pew seating.  The music is sung from hymnals with accompaniment on our pipe organ or grand piano.  Our Chancel Choir sings choral music and our bell choir plays special music on occasion.

Where can we park?

There is a parking lot beside the building on the corner of 2nd Street and Ludlow St.  It is best to enter the lot from 2nd Street.

What should I wear?

The heart of a person is so much more important than the outside!  You will see everything from jeans and t shirts to business casual to suits with ties or "church" dresses at both of our services.

When is Holy Communion and who may take communion?

Generally, Holy Communion is served in both services on the first Sunday of the month. The table of Holy Communion is Christ's table, not the table of The United Methodist Church or the local congregation. The table is open to anyone who seeks to respond to Christ's love and to lead a new life of peace and love. Our Book of Worship  says, "All who intend to lead a Christian life, together with their children, are invited to receive the bread and cup. We have no tradition of refusing any who present themselves desiring to receive".

What door should we use to enter?

Handicapped entrance for the Fellowship Hall and 9:00 service is through the double doors from the parking lot (pictured at left).
