Sunday Services
9:00 a.m. - Praise Service
10:45 a.m. - Traditional Service
4:00 p.m. - Hispanic Service

Sunday, November 4, at both the Praise Service and the Traditional Service we will be remembering the saints of our congregation who have gone before us.  It is a day to celebrate their lives as we remember their faithful witness.
Sunday, November 4, is the time change...fall back an hour.  Take advantage of that extra hour of sleep!
It is born of the Four Basic Elements; Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire.

Earth - the steel from which it is made.
Water - used to cool the metal once it has been formed.
Wind - accelerates the flame to raise the temperature so the hammer can make an effect.
Fire - the forge that brings the hard metal to a workable substance.

This cross was made from one piece of steel but is in three parts, just as God is one presence in three parts. The cross has a mast, cross arm and clamp binding the other two pieces together. God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit through which we reach our final reward.

The Base is made of wood to remind us that Jesus was a carpenter. The sides of the base are set at a 33 degree angle again to remind us of the Holy Trinity.

Even though the Cross is made of steel, without proper care and maintenance, it will rust, decay and eventually fade into nothingness. Unlike steel, as long as believe in God's love, we will live forever.

It is presented to this church, dedicated to God's Love, and as thanks for the gifts of talent and skill that He has bless me with.

LUNCH
LOVE
COMMUNITY

               Did you know?

In 2017, 7,055 people were served hot, homemade meals on real china at the Saturday Community Lunch.   That's an average of 138 people each week.

Since we encourage our guests to truly be filled by offering seconds, thirds, fourths, and take home meals - that came to 13,4065 meals for an average of 256 meals per week.

In addition to tummies being filled, spirits were filled as 1820 people attended the worship service that is held during the lunch.

1089 volunteers (many who are there every month, or even several times a month) shared their love of God and their love of others by helping prepare and serve meals and clean up afterwards.

Community Outreach
New Partner Churches and Community Groups are welcomed and needed. In order to continue serving the community a lunch every Saturday, and to begin serving homeless children through Family Promise, we need help. Call the church office at 896-5683 for information.  We will come to your church or group to talk about this wonderful opportunity to be God's hands and feet in our community

Community Lunch Every Saturday - With the help of our partner churches we serve between 200-300 meals every Saturday to our guests.  Volunteers and new partner organizations are always welcome.

Family Promise of Butler County - We will once again be hosting families the week of December 16-23, 2018.  They will be at First for the entire week.  We are always looking for volunteers to help prepare meals, meet with families, and set-up in preparation of their arrival If interested contact the church office.
